Meet the Owners: Ryan and Wendy!

Defense Pest Control is a locally owned and family-operated business in Mesa, Arizona established by husband and wife, Ryan and Wendy Michel. Prior to their marriage Wendy was serving as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy.

During their first year of wedded bliss, they were transferred to Beaufort, South Carolina. During their time there, Ryan was introduced to pest control for the first time and worked for a family-owned franchise of Terminix International. It was there that Ryan received excellent training and experience in both the pest and termite control industry.

Upon completion of Wendy’s enlistment in the Navy, they moved back to Arizona. Ryan continued to work in the pest control industry at Safeguard Pest Control as a sales representative. Between 2003-2005, he dedicated himself to being the top performer in Arizona each year and among the top three in the Nation.

The Start of Defense Pest Control

In 2006, Ryan and Wendy decided to open their own pest control company, Defense Pest Control, and have been providing outstanding service ever since.

As a family-owned business, Ryan and Wendy treat each and every one of their customers like family. They are dedicated to providing safe, pest-free environments for all homeowners and business owners throughout the East Valley Cities including Chandler, Florence, Gilbert, and Queen Creek.
